Yala National Park

Our luxurious jeep for the 12 hour tour of Yala National Park! Bench seats and bumpy terrain - need we say more? At this point we were surrounded by several families of bold monkeys trying to share our lunch.

A mother and baby elephant foraging in the forest.

Only 5% of male elephants have tusks. We spotted this one at the end of the day.

After an hour-and-a-half showdown between a water buffalo in the pond and this leopard high up in the tree, the water buffalo gave up and wandered away. The leopard nonchalantly strolled away.
